Toyota.co.za
The previous Toyota website had been in the market for some time and was now in need of a rebuild due to the evolving landscape of technology and consumer needs. The website faced challenges that resulted in a lack of personalisation, time intensive manual updates across pricing and specs, and minimal lead generation.
We utilised existing voice-of-the-customer data, deep-dived into behavioural data analytics, conducted focus groups and produced user surveys. All of our findings were then translated into detailed personas each with their own set of requirements. We identified core challenges facing the business and mapped out ideal customer journeys and content structures, with key elements of the journey brought to life through rapid prototyping and iterations.
By establishing design principles and setting up comprehensive user interface libraries, we were able to deliver consistent screens and journeys that extend beyond the website. The result was a platform built around a Dynamic Homepage that guides consumers to their next step based on their behaviour, with live product data ensuring pricing, specs and vehicle variants are always accurate and up to date.
We also unified campaign and product content through a consistent design language, so the brand story comes through clearly regardless of how or where a user arrives, across any device.
